Frequently Asked Questions

Of course. We have two showrooms, one in Central London and one in West London. Our showroom in West London is at The Light Box, 111 Power Road, Chiswick W4 5PY and is open 6 days a week: Monday to Friday from 9.00am – 6.00pm, and on Saturday from 10.00am – 4.30pm. It is 3 minutes from Gunnersbury Tube station and we have almost all of our stock on display, together with stock from our sister company David Phillips Living. View map

Our showroom in Central London (really an extension of our office) is at 11 Grosvenor Crescent, London SW1X 7EE and is open by appointment Monday to Friday. It's 2 minutes from Hyde Park Corner Tube station and we have many of our sofas, chairs and tables on permanent display. View map

Because of limited space, unfortunately we can't have our entire collection on display in the showrooms. However, if there is a particular piece of furniture that you would like to see please call us before you visit as we can usually arrange to have that piece available to see in the showroom. Equally, if you'd like to visit out of hours - please let us know, and we'll try our hardest to arrange this.

At David Phillips Design Classics, we're committed to delivering great design as quickly and efficiently as possible. Within Greater London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester we're able to deliver unlimited items next working day, where stocks allow. Outside of the above areas and Europe, we will use the fastest, most economical delivery process possible, based on the size and weight of your order.

All of the products in our lighting range are sold under license from Flos in the UK. For the avoidance of doubt all of the furniture inspired by the designs of Charles Eames, Le Corbusier, Florence Knoll, Arne Jacobsen, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Isamu Noguchi are reproductions and not licensed originals.

We use the highest quality leathers, steels and chrome finishes, and work hard to ensure that all the designs' signature details are faithfully replicated so that licenced versions and our own products are indistinguishable. Because this is furniture for living, we pay special attention to the comfort and durability of our products – because these designs achieved new heights of comfort for their inspired creators and should for you, too.

We have worked hard to create the most efficient and cost-effective business possible, and our relatively low overheads and large inventory enable us to offer our customers lower prices than our competitors.
Of course. Let us have your address and we will gladly post these out to you.
All spills should be attended to immediately. For light spills always use distilled water and a clean cloth. Wipe the spill in one direction. Application of a leather conditioner is useful in repelling stains. Most stains will disappear with age. Not all stains will come out.
If a leather has been conditioned and maintained it should be more resistant to scratches. Most light scratches can be massaged lightly with clean fingers. The friction and heat from the rubbing helps redistribute natural waxes in the surrounding area to cover the scratch. For deeper scratches there is little that can be done sadly – remember, this is a skin that no longer has healing capabilities.
Heat and/or sunlight and time can affect all natural substances if not properly maintained. Excessive exposure can fade and dry out leather upholstery.
